New comic up

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

We have a new comic up, number 5. We’d been having a couple of problems with files and that, but it’s all hunky-dory now thanks to my own computer genius.

Now if only I could work out how to transfer sarcasm…

Edit; we also have a decent character page. Citizens rejoice!

Azarov; post comic #9 or I’ll post one of my comics, and you don’t want that.

Everyone; do some more newsposts. I’ve been writing another 4-page epic rant, and I want “Why I hate Sonic” to be clear before I let it loose upon an unsuspecting world.

Utility

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

You will notice that I now have a new thingy for tags. This will allow all three of our Dear Readers (except Kim-Jong Il, who can’t speak English) to more easily browse our lovely site. Here are some of them, but feel free to invent new ones;

Commentary; Feel like commenting on comics? Look no further.

Story; Occasionally we’re going to reveal some story in the newsposts. Put this tag here for our slower readers.

Politics; We’re a political webcommiec and proud of it! This tag shall be our sign!

Bugging other admins; This acts as an in-joke warning to outsiders and a precursor to hideous flame wars for the rest of us.

Reviews; Feel like reviewing something? No probs!

Utility; Some posts (like this one) are utilitarian. Outsiders may safely ignore these.

Rants; Auto-classification for all posts greater than a page. I’m probably the only person who will ever use this tag.

Angst; Darkness enshrouds my soul like an enshrouding, er, shroud… sometimes we all have some angst to let out. That’s what the internet is for!

Mechlord being a dick; Seriously, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING… oh good, he’s deleted it. He’s still a dick though.

UPDATE: Most of these tags are completely out-of-date now. That’s why I, the Somewhat Almighty God of Pie, have added a “tags” page at the top. Go there now please.

The Idea Tetraheron – Tags

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

1) I suggest tags for each poster, so people can find all posts by a contributor. I know this is a feature that can be used on wordpress (maybe it has to be written, I don’t know) but I have no Idea how to use it.

3) Also I decree that the tag “mechlord being a dick”, shall now be replaced with either Mechery or Mechannigans.

3) Further suggestions on tags, do we really need an angst tag? Can’t that just go under rants?

4) Either I’m missing something, or there is no way to jump to posts by specific tags from the sidebar. This is a useful feature.

5) And why not use tags to identify who wrote which posts?

6) Yeah, basically ubercharged. : )

Congratulations Mortals!

Our blog is now equipped with the Askimet anti-spam filters! It took like five seconds. WHY DIDN’T YOU DO IT BEFORE MECHLORD???

I am, of course, being hypocritical here, since I myself could have done it and so could have my baby brother. But I still reserve the right to blame Mechlord, under the legal rule of Quia Ego Sic Dico.

All Quiet on the Hilarious Internets

Friday, March 6th, 2009

It’s been a bit quiet around here lately, hasn’t it?

Azarov; WHERE’S COMIC #11???

Mechlord; WHERE’S THAT EVIL RECIPE???

Everyone else; WHERE ARE YOUR COMMENTS???

Even our friend the Eternal Spambot seems to be posting less and less…

Testing, testing, uno dos tres

Congratulations! If you’re reading this, my wireless network is working!

A few teething troubles so far, for example the old computer demanding that I download 35 updates and counting and insisting it is still rigged up to dial-up. But all in all, everything seems to work. After a fashion.
